Description
Wordplay is Chicago's longest running youth open mic that features a live DJ, a hosted writing workshop, and hosted open mic! For the 2025 Rooted and Radical Youth Poetry Festival, we invite our festival participants and Chicagoland youth to bring your poems, dances, songs, and instruments to share on stage OR create something new in the writing workshop portion of the evening. No experience necessary!
All Poetry Foundation events are completely free of charge and open to the public, though advanced registration is encouraged. The performance space is ADA-compliant and wheelchair-accessible, and the program will feature ASL interpretation.
