Monday, December 16th Screamfest NOLA and Timecode bring you the 40th anniversary screening of Silent Night, Deadly Night, the controversial Christmas horror film that sparked an outrage! When the film was released in 1984, people were so outraged that it depicted Santa as a spree killer in the advertisements and terrified children of Santa that people showed up to theaters picketing the film, leading to the distributor pulling it from theaters after only a week. Luckily, sanity prevailed, and this horror cult classic is readily available to watch and enjoy, including with us! Also joining us via virtual Q&A after the show will be Linnea Quigley, Scream Queen extraordinaire that plays Denise in the film, and would go on to star in such films as Return of the Living Dead, Creepazoids, Night of the Demons, Pumpkinhead 2, and many, MANY more. Come out and enjoy the Christmas build up as we give away prizes and test your horror IQ, but don’t be a Grinch and get your tickets early since space is limited and will likely sell out!

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
      We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for  The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  •   Our outdor space has a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
