About the Facilitator: Born and raised on Treaty 1 Territory, Alex is a mixed-race dance artist, teacher and creator who has worked and performed as a dancer locally, nationally and internationally. She also works as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Most importantly, she is a parent, partner, daughter, sister, and friend. Alex is interested in our interconnectedness – how we relate to one another, the stories and forces that weave us together, and the ways we seek to belong. In all intersections of her work and life, she values collaboration and intentionality and strive to cultivate environments in which our inherent goodness as humans can be cherished.
