SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • This course takes place at a natural hot spring facility with geothermally-heated pools that range in temperature between 88–94° (warmer than most pools).
  • All indoor classroom portions are held in a room with minimal heating, so if it's a cooler weekend please plan accordingly and bring layers, as well as a warm robe or extra towels for the pool work portions.
  • All participants must bring a bagged lunch plus any snacks you might need for the whole of the day (our location is too far from local eateries/stores to go out to get lunch).
  • The course runs from 4–8PM for the evening pre-session and then 9AM–6PM over the following 2 days. Plan on arriving at least 15–20 minutes ahead of each session in order to allow enough time to park and get situated. We will start promptly.

Tuition + Reimbursements:

For those who gain lifeguard certification and are hired by MORTON'S WARM SPRINGS: for every seasonal contract completed, one year of training fees are reimbursed. As this is a 2-year American Red Cross certification, this means that this training is completely paid for all those completing two seasons at Morton's. Morton's guards in good standing who return for a third season and beyond have all of their Lifeguard renewal certification fees paid fully up front. Bordering Sonoma Creek and nestled among a mature canopy of large oaks with open meadows and rolling hills, these Springs uplift the very best of whole family wellness and recreation. People have come to these Springs for generations to soak in the healing waters and to gather for picnics and reunions, retreats and organizational meetings, birthdays and weddings, and for nature-based youth camps and field trips. The temperature on all three pools range from 85° F to 94° F, depending on weather (we shoot for cooler on hot days and warmer on cooler days). Come and experience the magic of the Springs for yourself.
