Shallow Graves: A Live Murder Mystery Experience

In Shallow Graves, socially distanced groups will be led through an immersive outdoor murder investigation. Meet the suspects, gather clues, and solve the crime. 

A small town, a centuries-old curse, six suspects, and one dead body. The deceased? Grimsby Graves, the patriarch of a family whose ancestors had helped found the tiny autumnal town of Reaper Junction in the 1700s. The history books say that it was, in fact, the Graves brothers who had led the torchlit mob that cast out Evil-Eyed Emil, who didn’t go quietly. The Curse Emil left haunted the town for centuries… and now, Grimsby Graves is mysteriously found dead.

You and a small group of investigators will hear suspects’ testimony, gather clues and hold your own interrogations. In this immersive, interactive, outdoor experience, you’ll have the chance to interview suspects and explore our unique host sites. Each small group will have a Chief Inspector to guide them along the way.

Explore what’s new, take in the artwork and murals, and grab a drink or a bite to eat from a food stall while you walk between suspects and clues on your way to solving the murder.

Join us on the expansive green at this south Charlotte shopping center. You can visit local shops and restaurants and even get a peek at Theatre Charlotte's temporary rehearsal space on site.
