COVID-19 UPDATE 12/27/21:
Because we want to be as safe as we can, we have decided to require either proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event to attend our Shinnenkai. If you are 18+, you will also need to show a government issued ID. The identification of the individual on the vaccination card or negative COVID-19 test result must match the identity on the approved government issued ID. Attendees under the age of 18 will not be required to show a government issued ID.
There is still a mandate for masks in the county the hotel is located, so masks will also still be required for those 2 years and up regardless of vaccination status. Individuals may remove their mask if they are seated at a food service area or actively eating or drinking.
We want to make sure everyone has a fun and safe New Year, and we can't wait to see you there!
If you are feeling sick in any way or have tested positive for covid, please stay home and take care of your health. We will give you a full refund on your ticket purchase and hope to see you at a future event!
We will also give a full refund to anyone who has purchased a ticket and can no longer attend due to the mandates. This includes inability to wear a mask or inability to provide proof of vaccination or a negative covid test. Any reason other than these will not be eligible for a refund.
If you have any questions, feel free to DM us or email us at thirstysamuraievents@gmail.com
Any of the following can be used as proof of vaccination:
1. COVID-19 Vaccination record cars (issued by the U.S department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or World Health Organization Yellow Card) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided and dates of last doses administered
2. A photo of a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or immunization record obtained from the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) as a separate document
3. A photo of a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or immunization record obtained from CIIS, either directly or through the MyColorado app or another verified health app, stored on a phone or electronic device.
4. Documentation of COVID-19 Vaccination from a health care provider
Per the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated:
- 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna, Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine or other vaccine approved by the World Health Organization, or
- 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
If you don’t meet these requirements, you are NOT fully vaccinated and will need to provide proof of negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event.
For any attendees under the age of 18, the following applies:
-Attendees aged 12 – 17 who are fully vaccinated can show their proof of vaccination for entry.
-Attendees aged 12 – 17 who are not fully vaccinated will be required to show proof of negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event they are attending.
-Attendees under the age of 12 will not be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of negative COVID-19 test, but will be required to wear a face mask at all times.

COVID-19 UPDATE 12/19/21:
In the event we believe our Shinnenkai will have 500 or more attendees, we will have to require all attendees to bring proof of being fully vaccinated as stated in the health order below. We hope to have a better idea of number of attendees by the last week of December and will make an official announcement of requirements then.
Either way, WE WILL still be requiring masks as there is still a mask mandate in effect for everyone 2 years and up, regardless of vaccination status. The link to the full health order as well as the mask mandates are included at the bottom of this post.

As stated in our last covid-19 post, If you are feeling sick in any way or have tested positive for covid, please stay home and take care of your health. We will give you a full refund on your ticket purchase and hope to see you at a future event!
We will also give a full refund to anyone who has purchased a ticket and can no longer attend due to the mandates.
