The mission of the Historical Society of Saratoga Springs is to foster public education and chronicle the story of Saratoga Springs’ history by operating the History Museum, conducting programs, and collecting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting materials that document the city’s social, political, economic, geological and cultural history.
Description
The History Museum’s Director of Education, Jacqueline Bunge, will lead a walking tour of notable gravesites and discuss the history of the many symbols found on the gravestones, monuments and mausoleums in Saratoga Springs' Greenridge Cemetery. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and is limited to 25 participants. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the cemetery grounds and varied terrain, this tour is not wheelchair accessible. Meet at the Sackett Gate entrance on Lincoln Avenue.
