the beacon is lit. the vessel is waiting.

Deep in the woods of southern Appalachia, a beam of light beckons you forward.

You present your offering.

You take your seat.

And the Vessel begins to interpret.

 

solus is a one-person show, threading ancient mythology with contemporary storytelling.

Through a combination of song, spoken word, movement, and design, this workshop presentation continues on the work developed during the August WORK IN PROGRESS event. 

All proceeds go directly towards First Take's $1200 fundraising goal to cover our developmental costs for new work through the end of the year.

First Take Co. is an entertainment company, arts incubator, and professional development hub that gives multifaceted makers the space to explore areas of their artistry that are inaccessible through conventional means. 

 

Founded by alumni from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Great River Shakespeare Festival, First Take Co. is an itinerant company that champions the work of its ensemble by highlighting its developmental works while simultaneously partnering with other nonprofit organizations to craft bespoke events. In the future, we at First Take Co. want to continue to create work that is only strengthened by our desire to take risks and explore intradisciplinary domains.
