Stax Music Academy Satellite Band
Join the Stax Music Academy Satellite Band, where 6th to 9th grade students embark on a musical journey through the rich sounds of soul and pop. This dynamic ensemble explores a variety of music styles, including the iconic Stax Records catalogue, rhythm & blues, funk, and soul.
Participants will not only build their music theory and ear training skills but also develop accuracy in rhythm, phrasing, and articulation. Essential ensemble skills are honed, fostering a strong sense of discipline within their craft.
Vocalists in the Satellite Band will focus on cultivating healthy vocal techniques, while gaining a deeper understanding of intonation, harmony, and sight-singing—setting a solid foundation for their future musical endeavors.
