Description

Cellist Jonathan Swensen is acclaimed for his “high-voltage focus” (BBC Music Magazine), “formidable technique” (Gramophone) and “bold, rounded sound” (Musical America).  He joins the BCSO to play Edward Elgar: Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85.  The program includes:

Florence Price: Concert Overture No. 1

Edward Elgar: Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85

Antonín Dvořák: Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 (“From the New World”)
