Description

State of the Art: Innovative, experimental chamber music from living composers.

String quartets that explores real or imagined places.

 

Presented in collaboration with the Boise State University's Department of Composition. Featuring work by local composers and the world premiere of a new piece written by a student composer for Thirdspace Quartet.

 

This event is open to all ages. Families welcome.

Thirdspace Quartet’s debut season explores the concept of identity through the lens of three unique concert series. Four Ritual programs introduce the musical influences of four quartet members. State of the Art considers person and place: vulnerable and multifaceted expressions of personhood and how a sense of place contributes to one’s understanding of oneself. Popcycle explores the essence of popular music in our time.
