Description
If you ever wanted to learn how to create your own podcast or to write in rhyme, to shape a well-loved tale to its telling or collect community stories, we have something for you. If you’d just like to listen, we have a children’s story hour, bedtime stories for grown-ups, and a number of curated concerts featuring local and national storytellers. If you are curious to learn about groups using story in your community, we will be showcasing the work of organizations across Minnesota. If you are eager to put all your newly acquired telling skills (from our plethora of wonderful workshops) to good use – we will be rounding off the week with an open story circle. There is all this and SO MUCH MORE planned for this year’s StoryFest.

All events will take place on Zoom on the evenings of May 10th to 14th and during the day on May 15th.
When you register, we'll send you a confirmation by email. Before the festival starts, we'll we'll email you a single link to a page where you’ll find log in links to all workshops (with handouts if available), performances, showcases, and other amazing events.
Registration is free. We ask for donations to help with festival expenses and suggest $50 for the full festival, which includes 10 workshops, 10 showcases, 6 storytelling shows, an open mic, and opportunities to network, play games, and hang out online with other story lovers. However, we acknowledge that the past year has been financially stressful for many. If you can donate any amount, thank you! The mission of Story Arts of Minnesota is to promote the art of storytelling and to develop and support storytellers. We welcome everyone to join us at StoryFest! We also welcome new members to join our organization and encourage existing members to renew for 2021 (if you haven't already) when registering for the festival.
