Make an Impact - donate your time and talents to service projects crafted in community!
- Lend a hand, meet some new friends,, and maybe learn a thing or two as we tackle a shelving upgrade for a State Fair family favorite!
Shop Mentor Peter Hoh will be leading a build in Early August to create stable shelving units for a whole lot of STEM supplies. Help us build new storage shelves for Math on a Stick, a large-scale family math play space at the Minnesota State Fair.
- It's almost harvest season and we're working with East Side Neighborhood Services to build a custom garden stand and sharing space for produce, community news and more! We'll even include an amazing stained glass installation you can help create.
- While we're building a sharing space for East Side, we'll also build a similar custom share shed to provide 24/Hour access to the Como Community Seed Library, our harvest share, and MTL's own little free trade supplies library.
Participants are encouraged to have some basic woodworking/DIY skills (an MTL Basics: Intro to Shop Class or equivalent is recommended but not required) and are welcome to participate as available. Attend as many or as few sessions as fit your schedule and register for whatever dates or projects work for you!
