The Thompson Valley Orchestra was founded in 1997 by Music Director Norris Berg and a group of just 12 string players. Now, more than two decades later, the TVO has grown to more than 50 musicians with all instrument sections well represented. Our musicians range from school-aged students to seniors. Some players have been involved in music for decades. Together, the orchestra members practice and rehearse with a common goal of creating high quality musical programming to share with the community.
The orchestra’s repertoire includes a variety of musical styles from classics to musical theatre and pops. The TVO currently presents two concerts between September and May. We enjoy working with guest musicians, particularly local schools, choirs, and small ensembles. Concerts and weekly rehearsals are held at Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle.
We hope you will join us at our next concert!
