Join Scremfest NOLA and Timecode for our closing night film "The 'Burbs" at The Broadside as we say goodbye to our 7th annual Screamfest NOLA with a classic horror-comedy that hasn't been seen on the big screen in ages and is celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2024! We're also partnering with the Mid-City Mutt Mama's for an adoption event and fundraiser, so come early and say hello to our furry friends and give them a good home if possible! Presented by Boucherie Feeds, WaxWork Records, and Horror Pack.

THE BURBS'

Settling in for some time off in his suburban home, Ray Peterson's (Tom Hanks) vacation becomes a horror when the Klopeks, a suspiciously odd family, move in down the block. Enlisting the aid of his paranoid buddy, Art (Rick Ducommun), and his militia-man neighbor, Rumsfield (Bruce Dern), Ray sends his son and wife (Carrie Fisher) away on a trip while he investigates the Klopeks. When a neighbor disappears, Ray and his cohorts risk their lives to save their cul-de-sac from the clutches of evil.

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
      We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for  The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  •  We have a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
