Description

Set sail with Marlin Darrah, the world's most traveled filmmaker, to several island gems sprinkled throughout the Caribbean: Havana, Cuba; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Barts; St. Martin; Antigua; Dominica; St. Lucia; and Barbados. From beaches to forest to mountains, here you can see every conceivable shade of blue, so many types of flowers and colored birds. The islands were settled by a combination of migrant tribes from South America, gold-seeking Spaniards and European planters from France, England, Denmark and the Netherlands. The racial mix has produced an incredible musical and artistic energy, which climaxes in the exciting week of Carnival. This program captures the spirit of the Caribbean, exploring all its realms, geography, people, fauna and flora.
