Swaddled in the heat of grief’s betrayal
Communing with the soul of a thousand lives
Lost in the barren soil of reform
We awaken anew
Upon entering the theater the audience is greeted with six life-size self-portraits of the artist, a depiction of resistance between hope and despair. At the hands of an improvisational score composed in collaboration by Douglas James Farr and Bailey Anglin, we are guided through an agitated trance released inside the whiplash of letting go. Within the progression of five seasons, ascends an inquiry of the nature and futility of humanity. Where does the essence of one go upon exiting the incisions of grief? This penetrative tapestry will mark the first interdisciplinary, evening length solo created and performed by Bailey Anglin.
