Description

Participate in our EGG HUNT and take home a THUNDEREGG or a MYSTERY MINERAL

In addition to the hunt, we'll have uncut AND polished thundereggs for sale, thunderegg cutting, geode cracking, and more! This way you can still cut open a thunderegg even if you don't find one in the hunt. : )

HOW IT WORKS:

  • There will be 5 egg hunts, each lasting 30 minutes. You choose your timeslot when purchasing tickets.
  • You can keep up to THREE plastic eggs, which then are redeemed for PRIZES (one per egg). Some will get thundereggs, others mystery minerals! Participants won't know what they have won until they have redeemed their eggs.
  • A ticket reserves a spot in ONE timeslot, spend the rest of the day at the museum enjoying the activities and exploring the museum and grounds.

TICKET PRICES:

Egg hunt + event, museum and grounds admission: $25 adult, $15 child, $22.50 member adult, $13.50 member child

Event, museum and grounds admission, but no egg hunt: regular museum admission pricing, free for members

IF YOU ARE ASSISTING A CHILD IN THE HUNT BUT NOT TAKING ANY EGGS FOR YOURSELF, YOU ONLY NEED TO PURCHASE EVENT ADMISSION (EVENT ONLY TICKET). YOU MUST PURCHASE/RESERVE TICKETS FOR EVERYONE IN YOUR CHOSEN TIME SLOT PRIOR TO ARRIVAL TO THE MUSEUM. THIS INCLUDES EVENT ONLY TICKETS.

Thank you so much for supporting the Rice Museum! All ticket AND thunderegg purchases go directly to supporting our mission to engage, inspire, and educate on the wonder and complexity of our Earth.
