Set in the Victorian era, The Juniper Tree follows the gory and tragic story of a family slowly falling apart through the years and the direct impact on the family's two youngest members, 6-year-old Marlinchine and 12-year-old Heinrich. Throughout the turmoil and family drama stands the juniper tree, a beautiful piece of nature that seems to come alive and never changes despite the constant death and horror that occurs around the forest.
