Description
The Music Man KIDS 1st - 6th Grade
Based on Meredith Willson's six-time-Tony-Award-winning musical comedy, The Music Man KIDS features some of musical theatre’s most iconic songs and a story filled with wit, warmth and good old-fashioned romance. The Music Man KIDS is family entertainment at its best — a bold, brassy show that will have the whole town atwitter!
Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure? The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s power just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.
Classes meet Mondays 4:00 - 5:30 Beginning January 6th.
Performances: March 21st at 7:00pm and 22nd at 2:00pm
Cost: $350
*Cast party following the 2pm performance down in The Spotlight Studio!
There will be a mandatory review day on Saturday March 15th from 10am - 12pm. As well as tech rehearsal on March 19th and 20th from 4:00pm-6:00PM (snow date March 1st 10 - 11:30. Will only happen in case of a cancelled class due to weather. )

***Please note that an abundance of absences from class could result in the student being pulled from certain songs/scenes in the show due to the time constraint for review and teaching. Attendance is very important! Please also note that the focus of this class is to put together an entire 30 minute production. This entails lots of focus, waiting and listening skills. If you feel your child is not ready for this type of focus, it may be best to wait until they are ready :)
