Spread holiday cheer with a Family Season Pass to the Spirit of Winter! This Season Pass includes entry to the Festival of Lights through November 22nd-December 29th for a family of four.
Open Monday, December 23rd from 4pm-8pm. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve.
The Estate is transformed into an illuminated winter wonderland, with over twenty miles of musical synchronized, lights strung over 20 acres of our lakeshore property. Guests can stroll the grounds and enjoy a variety of attractions like our Candy Cane Lane, life size Nativity scene, photo opportunity at Santa’s Sleigh, real winter llamas, inflatable Snowman Social, children’s Snow Maze, kid’s Boot Hockey Arena, and Nana’s Gingerbread House! Once you arrive, guests also have the opportunity to purchase Holly Trolley rides for $5 per person in our Wine Store for a special guided tour of the decorated grounds. Trolley Tickets can only be purchased on property and is determined based on weather! Limited seating available.
The real, life Santa will be arriving every night from November 22nd-December 23rd at 5pm-7:30pm during the Christmas season. All guests will enjoy the pleasure of meeting the famous Mr. Claus as he wanders our Spirit of Winter event.
This is a Family Friendly event that everyone is sure to love with a range of hot treats to keep you warm and toasty! Grab a hot chocolate, cookies, or roast a s’more at our S’more Station! Adults can enjoy mulled wine, boozy hot cocoa, local brews, and our full range of wine at our Polar Bear Bar! Our Blizzard Bistro will also be serving up items like chili and our famous flatbreads. Be sure to check out our Wine Store for the perfect holiday gift including, holiday and sovereign merchandise, our stuffed Christmas Llamas, and, of course, bottles of our Sovereign Estate Wine!
Purchasing Family Season Pass to the Spirit of Winter
$75 admission + fees and includes a family of up to four people. Children 5 years and under are free!
This pass is good for the whole season of the Spirit of Winter from November 22nd-December 29th.
This is sold ONLINE ONLY!! Season Passes will not be available at the gate.
Please show confirmation/receipt email at gate or in Wine Store when you arrive.
This season pass MUST be used by the purchaser. Transferring tickets is not available.
If no one is at the gate (beginning of the driveway) please check-in in our wine store and show tickets.
Lights turn on at 4:30PM
This is an OUTDOOR, WALKING event. Indoor or heated seating is not available unless renting a Christmas Cabana or visiting our Nutcracker Suite.

In the event of severe weather and closing of Spirit of Winter for safety reasons, all guests will be notified and can use their ticket any other night of the show at their convenience.

The Winery at Sovereign Estate
The Winery at Sovereign Estate is a family owned and operated estate vineyard and winery located on the North Shore of Lake Waconia. In 2018 the winery erected the Marquette Pavilion, a large seasonal event center with glass sides and a seating capacity over 400. The Pavilion and its covered Patio Area overlooks the beautiful estate vineyards and lake with a huge lawn seating area as well. Wine, beer and other refreshment are served during concert events.
