COACHING WITH THEATRICAL AGENTS

3 CLASS SERIES starting Feb 19, 2024

Elevate your career by studying with top industry insider

Elevate your career and sharpen your audition skills by working directly with shakers responsible for booking talent into Broadway’s biggest shows, and gain insight on what Agents are looking for when seeking new clients.

  • Class One: You will workshop your audition materials with talent agent Brian K Herrick from THE HELLS KITCHEN AGENCY
  • Class Two: You will workshop your audition materials with talent agent David Gretchko from HCKR (HARDEN CURTIS KIRSTEN RILEY)
  • Class Three:  You will workshop your audition materials with talent agent Eric Leiggi from THE MINE

 

Class will begin each week at 7pm and each student will work one-on-one with the instructor on cuts of audition songs or monologues in a classroom setting. Each class will also include a short Q&A, information on the intricacies of the casting process and insight on what the auditioner can do to stand out.  

DATES:

  • Monday February 19th - Brian K Herrick (class will be held at Sunlight Studios, 321 West 44th Street)
  • Monday February 26th - David Gretchko (class will be held at Open Jar Studios, 1601 Bway)
  • Monday March 4th - Eric Leiggi (class will be held at Open Jar Studios, 1601 Bway)

All classes begin at 7pm 

 

Under the direction of Artistic Director, Jeff Whiting, Open Jar’s Professional Class Series provides unique opportunities for performers to continue to hone their skills and work one-on-one with Broadway’s best stars, directors, composers,  agents, and casting directors.

Bios:

Brian K Herrick is a New York based Talent Agent and all around Entertainment Professional. A Southern New Jersey native, Brian spent his youth performing in professional work all around the tri-state area. Even from an early age, he's been fascinated with helping people figure out their place in this industry, and as soon as he got the chance he decided to make a whole career out of it. As a talent representative, Brian has worked for Jaime Baker Management (Talent Manager, Founder/Head of the Theatrical Roster), The Luedtke Agency (Jr. Agent), and The Price Group (Head Of Talent). His philosophy is that his clients are his peers, and he loves to be able to collaborate as much as possible to make their passions a reality. In that, he also believes in bringing humor into the workplace. Let's laugh! In his free time, you can catch him roaming the Upper West Side in search of the perfect happy hour!

David Gretchko is an agent at Harden Curtis Kirsten Riley (HCKR) - one of New York's premiere boutique agencies. HCKR clients can be seen on film, theatre, and television.

Eric Leiggi is an agent at The Mine Agency, representing a curated list of talent on Television, Film, Broadway, National Tours, and more. As one of the most sought after boutique agencies, The Mine focuses on cultivating unique talent. Their team offers individualized attention, compassion, and guidance to their exceptional roster. Eric is a proud alumni of Marymount Manhattan College's Theatre Arts Program. After graduation, he was active in many facets of the entertainment industry in New York City. He eventually found his way to representation, working at two other reputable agencies, prior to moving to The Mine. In addition to his work as an agent, he is a passionate educator, having taught masterclasses for several college programs and training organizations across the country. Eric is always excited to meet the next generation of talent.
