COACHING WITH THEATRICAL AGENTS
Single Class opportunity (for Tues 11/14)
Elevate your career by studying with top industry insider
Elevate your career and sharpen your audition skills by working directly with shakers responsible for booking talent into Broadway’s biggest shows, and gain insight on what Agents are looking for when seeking new clients. Each student will work one-on-one with the instructor on cuts of audition songs or monologues in a classroom setting. Each class will also include a short Q&A, information on the intricacies of the casting process and insight on what the auditioner can do to stand out.
DATE: Tuesday November 14th: Study with Leah Wedge from CARLTON, GODDARD, AND FREER TALENT
Class begins at 7pm at Open Jar Studios, 1601 Broadway, 11th Floor
Under the direction of Artistic Director, Jeff Whiting, Open Jar’s Professional Class Series provides unique opportunities for performers to continue to hone their skills and work one-on-one with Broadway’s best stars, directors, composers, agents, and casting directors.
Leah Wedge is a talent agent at Carlton, Goddard, and Freer Talent, a legit boutique agency in NYC. Having been with the company since 2017, she represents a diverse roster of just over 200 clients in theatre, television, and film. Some recent client theatre credits include, but aren’t limited to Broadway, National Tour, and regional theatre productions of HAMILTON, THE LION KING, KIMBERLY AKIMBO, CHICAGO, SIX, SWEENEY TODD, GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY, MJ THE MUSICAL, THE MUSIC MAN, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and COMPANY,. Recent film/TV successes include series regulars and heavy recurring roles on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Port Lawrence ’93, Alaska Daily, Only Murders In the Building, Theatre Camp, Blue Bloods, New Amsterdam, and The Blacklist, among many others. When not in the office, Leah can often be found teaching and sitting on panels for theatre and film training programs including The Growing Studio, Actor’s Connection, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, One On One, and The Grove. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Shenandoah Conservatory.
