The film stars the critically-acclaimed actress June Squibb along with Fred Hechinger, Richard Roundtree, Clark Gregg, Parker Posey, and Malcolm McDowell. The film had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2024. It quickly scored 99% from 166 critics' reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

93-year-old Thelma Post (Squibb) lives alone in Los Angeles but is frequently visited by her Gen Z grandson, Danny (Hechinger). The two share an intergenerational kinship because both feel overlooked by Danny's parents. When Thelma falls for a phone scam and loses $10,000, she decides to take matters into her own hands to get her money back. With help from her friend Ben (Roundtree), the unlikely group sets out on a treacherous journey across the city to reclaim what was stolen from her. It's an amazing story of friendship, family, and taking the power back!
