About the Artists

Tinca Tinca is a melodic, lyrical, retro-futuristic indie rock band based in Knoxville, TN. Since starting in 2021, they have been featured on WDVX, WUTK, Real Knoxville Music, and have performed at an array of venues and festivals including the Tennessee Theatre, the historic Bijou Theatre, and live on WATE Channel 6 ABC. In the summer of 2023, Tinca Tinca began a delightful partnership with the Old City Performing Arts Center as an artist on the roster of their newly-formed performing arts label. Nightjar is a project started by Melanie LaFoy in 2019 who hails from Maryville, TN.  She produces unique and profound pieces that draw from her experience as a traveling folk artist, a background in classical piano, studies in poetry, and the French Touch electronic scene in Nantes, France. It is there where she began writing songs for her current project, nightjar in 2019. In the fall of 2022, several more members joined the band, allowing the expansive sounds to flourish. With Paul Seguna on drums, David Webb on electric guitar, and Jasmine Hoisington on bass the project has taken on new depth. The upcoming album « Supine Sea » is an ode to different kinds of loss and attempts to harness the grief that comes with finding oneself simply existing.

Mikeala Lambertucci was born and raised in Appalachia, which is where she found the heart and soul of her music. She believes that making art from vulnerable experiences encourages others to be open about what they experience as well, and hopes to empower others to use their voices in the ways that they can.
