Description

Playing Thursday, March 6th at 2pm and 7pm!

Directed by Julia von Heinz and based on the 1999 novel Too Many Men by Lily Brett, Treasure is a tragicomidy starring Lena Dunham, Stephen Fry, and Zbigniew Zamachowski. The film premiered at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in February 2024.

After the death of her mother, Ruth (Dunham), an American music journalist, decides to travel to Poland with her father, Edek (Fry). Set in 1990, Edek is a Holocaust survivor who stubbornly refuses to relive his past, despite his daughter's yearning to make sense of her family's history. Edek has an agenda of his own - his resistance leads to sabotage and unintentionally funny situations. Together, they finally unpack family trauma and become closer than ever before.

Rated PG for some language.
