When: Turn It Up, Upturn Arts’ 3rd Annual Music Event will be held on March 23rd, 2024 at The Broadside from 2:00 pm-9:00 pm.

What: The evening will feature the musical stylings of our headliners DJ Logic and Friends featuring Donald Harrison Jr., George Porter Jr., and Terrence Houston

Additionally, the afternoon will include performances by SOUL Brass Band, Kristin Diable, The School of Rock, Chloe Marié Band, and very own house band of Upturn instructors-Upturn Funk.

This family-friendly event will consist of an art market, food, and fun. Atchafalaya Restaurant will provide food for all VIP attendees.

Why: Our goal is to raise $50,000 to provide arts enrichment programming opportunities to accommodate the 50 KIDS we had on the waitlist weekly in Summer 2023.

Please help us raise critical funds by participating in our auction or by making a donation. The online auction will close at 9:00 pm on March 23, 2024. You DO NOT have to be present to participate.

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
      We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
     
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for  The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  •  We have a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
