Join DC Social Collective and Dance Sport Endurance for two Viennese Waltz immersion camps this October! Whether you’re new to the waltz or an experienced dancer, we have a camp tailored for you to prepare for the ball season!
Get ready to step into the enchanting world of Viennese Waltz! Our upcoming camps are the perfect way to immerse yourself in this timeless dance and prepare for the exciting season of grand balls ahead. Whether you're just starting or looking to refine your technique, these camps will help you glide across the dance floor with confidence. CAMP 2: Oct 15, 17, 18 (3 sessions) EXPERIENCED WALTZERS (INTERMEDIATE AND UP): Camp 2 is for the connoisseur! You will advance in technique and knowledge of multiple fast waltz styles, including the classic International Style, American Smooth, and a few steps that have been almost lost to history that you might have seen in such movies as The Sound of Music and Snow White. We will also teach a routine that will advance in each session.
Schedule:
Tue, 15 Oct, 730-930 pm: Natural turn technique improvements. Transitions from Reverse turn to natural and back. Fledermaus Quadrille #6.
Thu, 17 Oct, 730-930 pm: Practice, Review, Separation to half fleckerl , closed changes from left to right and right to left, fifth position break, run around, intermediate choreography. Fun polka step.
Fri 18 Oct, 730-930 pm: Practice, Review, intermediate choreography continues, advanced navigation drills, fleckerl!

McLean One Life Fitness, 1800 Old Meadow Road, McLean, VA (Plenty of parking and metro access).
Instructors:
Todd Borzych and Migle Gineityte, Viennese Waltz professionals who have performed at venues such as the Hofburg Palace in Vienna and the Austrian Embassy in Washington, DC.
