Description
Capital of The Most Serene Republic of the same name for over a millennium, Venice has hosted several musical personalities as distinctive as the city’s infrastructure and few have dominated compositional style like native son Antonio Vivaldi. Red-haired and ordained to the priesthood at age 25, “The Red Priest” honed his musical craft while working at the Ospedale della Pietà, where he taught and composed for orphaned girls. His concertos, whether related to a season or not, display countless examples of sequential mastery and technical bravado which regularly result in exciting moments for listener and performer alike.
Patrons can receive 25% off tickets using the promo code GRAND25 for Vivaldi IL Veneziano on Saturday, April 20.
