Description

Learn how and why leaves change colors in the fall while creating your own beautiful watercolor leaf garland. Maxx will walk you through how to use watercolor paints on pre-cut watercolor paper leaves. Once your leaf art is dry, you'll mount the leaves onto color rope and it's ready to hang--without the mess! Garlands will be approximately 10 leaves and up to 4 feet depending on number of leaves and spacing.

Maxx Follis-Goodkind is the Director of Push/Pull and can't get enough of creating plant art. When she was 5 or 6, she collected leaves to be a 'fall fairy' for Halloween and she's been fascinated with how leaves change color ever since. It wasn't until she studied horticulture and botany at Edmonds Community College that she got to leave the science behind the beautiful colors. She's excited to share her knowledge with you and to create art together.

All materials are provided. This class is recommended for ages 12 and up.

This class will take place on Tuesday, October 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Push/Pull: 2000 NW Market Street, Seattle, 98107.
