Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is a waterfront museum with classes, camps, boat building, rowing, and underwater research all committed towards building a healthy future for Lake Champlain. Exhibits and experiences connect people to our region’s history, ecology, and archaeology and create opportunities for hands-on learning that will last a lifetime. Through our work in water, on water, and underwater we inspire a new generation of leaders to shape the future for themselves and their communities.
Description
This adult open-water rowing club at Lake Champlain Maritime Museum meets every Thursday evening, weather permitting, at the Museum campus. Open to adult rowers of all ages (18-99+) and of all levels (beginner to experienced) this weekly club sets out for a relaxed 1.5 to 2 hour row each week. We row the museum's fleet of rowing gigs, either 6-seater pilot gigs or smaller St. Ayle's skiffs. This club is a great way to exercise, socialize, and experience the beauty of Lake Champlain in with a relaxed group.
By registering for a weekly row, you are committing to row with us. Weekly rowing registrations are non-refundable unless the Museum cancels due to weather.
If you are looking for a competitive, more advanced rowing club check out our Rowing for Racing Club which meets every Tuesday. All of our adult rowing club members are also eligible to join our adult rowing teams that compete in adult rowing races around the region.
