We all make THAT face when we hear or see something surprising. Maybe you can control it, maybe you can’t! Now’s the time to perfect your RBF (resting b*tch face) or your super camp facial expressions for stage! This class will dive into how you look on stage and how to push your character's narrative further with matching facial expressions.
You'll learn to
- diversify your looks
- create even bigger moments on stage
- build a conidence to command your audience!
Class consists of a warmup with light stretching and lots of emotive exercises to get your face muscles warmed up. Ily will teach you improv skills for planned as well as those not-so-planned moments on stage.
This class is offered to all. The School of Striptease teaches using the motto, "all bodies are burlesque bodies."
Please wear clothing that does not restrict your movement. Shoes and/or heels not required.
Ily Royale w/Cheese combines comedy with classic burlesque! She is known for her improvisation skills and has more than 30 years of extensive dance training. Ily has hit national burlesque stages all across the county and is about to add ‘International’ to her resume! Hailing from Colorado, Las Vegas, NV has become her home. She produces and hosts two local shows; a queer Ladies Night once a month at The Pheonix and she is the Co-Producer of Sense & Sin Burlesque at Triple B’s on Fremont Street. She has been featured in Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly weekender and The Burlesque Hall of Fame’s Tease: A Burlesque Revue at The Space. She holds the titles for 1st Runner Up Golden Legend Champion ‘22 and The Master of Munchies in Colorado’s very own Mile High Burlesque Fest.
This course is scheduled to be taught in-person. The Burlesque Hall of Fame reserves the right to teach this course virtually, at its discretion. Furthermore, classes may be recorded via Zoom for any students who may need to miss a class.
