Ever wonder what your bank or surety is looking at when they get your financial statements?  What matters most to them? What process do they have to go through for underwriting or loan approval?  What line items are generally discounted on your balance sheet?  Get all these questions and more answered during our September program.

John O’Connell, Managing Director

John is a Managing Director in the Construction & Engineering specialized banking practice with CIBC US. John manages a portfolio of construction companies and works with owners and senior executives to ensure optimal financing, treasury, and other banking products and services are in place. John spends much of his time in Wisconsin and Minnesota and works closely with CIBC’s Milwaukee and Minneapolis offices as he helps to develop the bank’s C&E practice in these two states.  

Lauran Scott, Senior Surety Analyst

As a Senior Surety Analyst, Lauren assists construction clients in surety program placements, manages ongoing surety market relationships and performs analytical reviews to better assist current and prospective clients navigate the marketplace as well as their everyday business. She also works with Lockton SCORE®, a proprietary web-based system designed to assist our clients with the collection, organization, and evaluation of contractor and subcontractor qualification information.
