Description
This immersive outdoor workshop combines the art of wildcrafting with the traditional craft of basket weaving, offering participants a hands-on experience in the sustainable use of natural materials. Beginning with a guided hike through local forested terrain, participants will learn to identify and ethically harvest pine needles, a versatile and renewable resource. Following the hike, the focus will shift to the technique of weaving, where skilled instructors will demonstrate the process of transforming pine needles into functional and decorative baskets. Emphasis will be placed on the principles of sustainable harvesting, ensuring minimal environmental impact while fostering a deeper connection to the natural world. This activity provides both an opportunity for creative expression and an exploration of the practical skills associated with wildcrafting traditions.
