Description

The Woodman Museum, now in its 108th year, is proud to present Voices From the Cemetery!  This fundraiser located at Dover's picturesque and historic Pine Hill Cemetery is geared towards people of all ages interested in fun daytime Halloween activities and also interested in learning local history.  Dozens of reincarnated spirits from Dover's past will arise from their graves to entertain, amuse, and recount their life achievements (or failures)!

Come and hear tales of Dover’s past brought to life!  Join us this October 12th or 13th for a family friendly, daytime educational guided tour of Pine Hill Cemetery and meet some of the Dover community who call(ed) it home -- including the founder of the Woodman Museum, famous criminals, war heroes, statesmen, and more!

Travel the cemetery's well-worn paths on a guided tour of multiple burial sites.  Hear about centuries of Dover history and meet noted, nefarious, or notorious souls who will regale you with tales of mirth, woe, and amazement!

The Woodman Museum was founded in 1916 from a trust established by Annie E. Woodman to: “To advance and develop passion for History, Nature, and the Arts. To educate, excite, and inspire current and future generations about . . . a changing nation by preserving and exhibiting objects of historic significance, decorative and fine art, and natural science that connect Dover and its citizens to . . . the world.”
