Description
Celebrate Dia de los Muertos hand embroidering a felt Sugar Skull. Participants will create a large Sugar Skull from felt, framed in a wooden embroidery hoop. All materials provided and pre-cut, but there will be a lesson in how to cut out the pattern, how to cut the felt pieces and arrange them for sewing. No sewing experience required - it’s simple stitches that are easy to learn! This year’s skull provides for a large array of customization!
Participants will be provided with all the pre-cut materials, embellishments, and supplies needed; you’ll leave with a complete project, a set of patterns for home use. Feel free to bring your preferred sewing tools if you have ones you’re comfortable working with.
Please note: because of the length of the class, please feel free to bring your own beverages and snacks.

Tickets must be purchased online at least 12 hours before the workshop. No walk-ins. Space is limited. Tickets are non refundable so please plan accordingly before purchasing. Please have email confirmation / ticket readily available upon arrival. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Attendees may bring non messy snacks and drinks in sealable containers. Please note that photographs will be taken throughout this workshop. These may be used by Spare Parts for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication. This workshop is eligible for NEISD Teacher's Choice continuing Education Hours. To obtain a certificate please ask a team member for one during the workshop.
