Workshop: The Busted Canvas

Description

Join Morena for a fun and creative crafting session, who will teach you how to design your very own busted canvas décor! This trendy art form transforms stretched canvas into a rustic, dimensional masterpiece perfect for your seasonal decorating.

In this hands-on class, you’ll:
Learn how to “bust” the canvas to create a 3D effect.
Paint, embellish, and customize your piece with embellishments.
Explore techniques for adding texture, sparkle, and unique accents to make your project shine.

No experience is needed! Whether you’re crafting for your home or making a personalized gift, you’ll leave with a beautiful piece of art and inspiration for more DIY projects. All materials are provided to create a holiday or winter themed busted canvas that is approximately 8” x10”. If you would like to create a larger or smaller canvas, or create a different theme, you are welcome to bring your own items.

Tickets must be purchased online at least 12 hours before the workshop. No walk-ins. Space is limited. Tickets are non refundable so please plan accordingly before purchasing. Please have email confirmation / ticket readily available upon arrival. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Attendees may bring non messy snacks and drinks in sealable containers. Please note that photographs will be taken throughout this workshop. These may be used by Spare Parts for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication. This workshop is eligible for NEISD Teacher's Choice continuing Education Hours. To obtain a certificate please ask a team member for one during the workshop.
