Description
Join us in creating a clever Secret Storage book from recycled materials! In this class, participants will learn how to turn an old, unused hardcover book into a book with hidden (or not!) drawers for storage. Books can be used for storage of mementos or supplies, or can be turned into art display pieces. Class will include guided instruction, supplies, and a take home instruction sheet.
Special note: Participants who are dust sensitive are encouraged to bring a mask. Please feel free to bring any cutting blades (X-acto knives, box cutters, etc) that you are comfortable with using if needed.
All materials supplied but participants are welcome to bring any ephemera, paper, etc that they’d like to use.
Tickets must be purchased online at least 12 hours before workshop. No walk-ins. Space is limited. Tickets are non refundable so please plan accordingly before purchasing. Please have email confirmation / ticket readily available upon arrival. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please note that photographs will be taken throughout this workshop. These may be used by Spare Parts for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication. This workshop is eligible for NEISD Teacher's Choice continuing Education Hours. To obtain a certificate please ask a team member for one during the workshop.
