A lightning-in-a-bottle document from arguably New Orleans’ GREATEST native filmmaker Penelope Spheeris, The Decline of Western Civilization trilogy is a legendary cinematic interpretation of the punk phenomenon. Spheeris caught something essential about the scene, specifically the degree to which it revolved around music by and for damaged individuals, people practically radiating with their hurt, for whom this music was nothing less than a lifeline. Part II: The Metal Years takes us from Ozzy, to Alice Cooper, to Motorhead, to Megadeth — metalhead party animals beyond irony in their loutishness, and utterly unforgettable in their humanity.

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
      We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
     
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for  The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  •  We have a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
