You've just settled down in a theatre to solve an audience-participation murder mystery. The narrator comes out and relays a few "ins and outs" of what to look for during the play. The show starts and you meet Fat Daddy, a rich but vindictive southern gentleman with an equally conniving and scheming family. So you know who's going to die, right!? But who will the murderer be? Performed on the Florida Preparatory Academy campus, You have the Right to Remain Dead by Pat Cook will open for one night only on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Melbourne, Florida.
You have the Right to Remain Dead by Pat Cook is a 2-Act play set somewhere in the Deep South. Written and performed with farcical humor, the plot introduces the main characters of this murder mystery; their intertwining personalities of greed, revenge and lack of trust among them makes for a humorous beginning. And then, well, there’s a murder. And the audience becomes suspects!
You Have the Right to Remaind Dead is performed by members of the Florida Prep Drama Club in the Academy's Dining Hall, an intimate space located on the Florida Prep Campus, 1950 Academy Drive in Melbourne, FL. Parking is free within and surrounding the gated community.
Seating is general admission, based on a first-come, first-serve availability. Doors will open at 6:30 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. curtain. The show is expected to last under two hours with a fifteen minute intermission. Ticket prices range from $7 Adults, $5, Seniors age 60+ and $3 for Students.
