Zay Ramirez
Zay Ramirez is a versatile rock musician from Hollister, California. Raised by a family of musicians, he grew up playing guitar, drums, and bass in several bands and spent years gigging across California. He has played a number of shows over the years and was part of the lineup for annual summer festivals. Zay moved to Chicago at the age of 18 to further develop his music career and has obtained a growing fanbase over the past few years.
Zay takes inspiration from artists like Chris Cornell and Eddie Van Halen with a sound that has been compared to several different bands, including Alice and Chains, Deftones, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. These various influences have resulted in his unique and signature sound, which can be described as a combination of grunge and metal, mixed with the latin melodies that he grew up listening to. Onstage, his musicality is matched by a charismatic presence that hypnotizes his audience and takes them on a journey unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.
Zay’s songwriting and musical talent will take him far, and his versatility will only further his career. Fans will discover and admire him not only for his music, but his authenticity and originality.
Sammy Krimstein
Singer. Songwriter. Musician. With a sincere passion for his craft, Sammy Krimstein creates a unique sound, blending elements from his many musical inspirations.
Sammy’s musical foundation was built on classic rock. At a young age, he fell in love with bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Cream. He was 9 when he began playing the guitar, and has since been building his style to combine those of his favorite guitarists. Sammy continues to grow as a guitarist influenced by guitar greats like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix and modern guitar heroes like John Mayer and Marcus King.
The sounds of soul have also influenced Sammy since his early days. Artists such as Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Donny Hathway, and Stevie Wonder are among his favorite iconic singers. In more recent years, he has started to fall in love with neo-soul, as artists such as D’Angelo, Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Leon Bridges and Lianne La Havas began to fill his playlist. As much as he wishes he could keep listing all of his musical influences, he doesn’t want to keep you reading this bio for hours.
