Description
“Mandala meets Zentangle in a wonderfully harmonious union that will inspire you to put pen to paper.”—www.Zentangle.com
Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Even though the name has “zen” in it, I do not teach Zen Buddhism or any religion. I teach how to relax in the flow as you create beautiful art with gratitude and appreciation. The method is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result.
As you use the Zentangle method you will enjoy increased focus, creativity, self-confidence as well as an increased sense well-being. By avoiding common blocks to creative flow such as: self-criticism, fear of failure, lack of immediate positive feedback, worrying about outcomes, frustration with lengthy training, lack of inspiration and doubts about what to do next, you can create beautiful art right away.
I believe that life is an art form and that each person is an artist. For me, Zentangle is pen and paper meditation and the phenomenon has caught on world-wide. Please join me to see what the buzz is about!
Class supplies
This is a come-as-you-are class. Please feel free to not bring anything with you! I will supply the few items (literally 3) you will need to learn and begin to practice Zentangle. You are welcome to take your supply kit home with you so that you can continue with the method after class.
About the instructor
Tracey became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) in 2014 and has been actively teaching and sharing the artform and the method ever since. She has hosted a free monthly Meet Up for tanglers at all experience levels for over 7 years (including during Covid) and she volunteers to share the relaxation and calm that comes with Zentangle at the Halifax Hospital Arts in Medicine program. For Tracey, sharing Zentangle is about connecting people of all ages with their innate creativity. All are welcome at any of Tracey’s classes!
